Col Rosie Stone, AH Comms, Too Good to Leave Campaign

 

Colonel Rosie has dedicated over thirty years to the British Army, serving in both Regular and Reserve capacities. She is a specialist in Defence communications and Human Security, with operational experience in Northern Ireland, Bosnia, and Afghanistan. In September 2010, she took command of the Media Operations Group and deployed in March 2011 as the Strategic Communications Deputy Advisor to NATO Joint Force Headquarters for the Libyan Campaign.

Following this, Rosie served as Head of Civil Engagement in North West England and Deputy Commander (Reserve) in the West Midlands, roles that highlighted her communication expertise. In her civilian career, Rosie is the Director of Public Affairs for Action for Afghanistan, a coalition of Civil Society Organisations established after Operation PITTING, the NATO withdrawal from Kabul in August 2021.

Major Cully commissioned into the Royal Engineers from WO2 in 2012. Following the AA QM course, he completed Ech Comd posts at 125 and 202 Fd Sqns, before selection for promotion to Maj in 2018.

 

On promotion, he moved to LUOTC as OC Senior Div, before returning to 202 Fd Sqn as OC.

 

Post SUC he covered the gapped Regimental QM post at 75 Engr Regt, before stepping across to Reminetal 2IC. In this role he was mobilised under DAOTO to support 4X FLF validation as the de-facto Bde SO2 Engrs, deploying overseas on multiple occasions.

 

He is currently serving on an FTRS contract at Army Headquarters as SO2 Strat Reserves in the Strat Cen, and was selected for promotion on the November Maj to Lt Col board, which may see him move back into the Active Reserve.

 

He has served operationally on Ops TELIC, TOSCA and HERRICK, and on multiple exercises in Belize, Kenya , USA, Canada, Estonia, Poland and Germany.

Warrant Officer Class One Jason King enlisted into the British Army in 1989, joining 7 Para RHA and deploying on operations to Belize and Cyprus. In 1997, he transferred to the Territorial Army, deploying to Bosnia with 26 Regiment Royal Artillery and to Iraq on Operation TELIC 5 as a Multiple Commander with 4 Regiment Royal Artillery. Trained as a Detachment Commander on the L118 Light Gun, Rapier B2, and Rapier FSC, WO1 King has held senior soldier appointments at every level within the Royal Artillery Reserve, including Troop Sergeant Major, Battery Sergeant Major, and Acting Battery Captain on the GMLRS platform. His instructional appointments include Platoon Commander at an Army Training Unit, delivering Phase 1 recruit training and leading physical training as the unit PTI.

Promoted to Warrant Officer Class One, he was appointed to the Royal School of Artillery, leading validation, assurance, and continuous improvement of the Army Leadership Development Programme (ALDP) across all Royal Artillery Reserve Regiments. He subsequently assumed the appointment of WO1 Royal Artillery Reserves at RHQ RA, providing advice and policy guidance on the Reserve component.

In 2025, he was appointed Field Army Reserve Command Sergeant Major, retitled Land Forces Reserve Command Sergeant Major following the 2026 Army C2 reorganisation. He is the senior enlisted advisor to the Deputy Commander Land Forces (DCLF) on Army Reserve Other Rank matters, leads the Senior Reserve Warrant Officer (SRWO) network across the Corps, and is the Reserve ground truth pipeline to DCLF. He is engaged in shaping Reserve preparation for Op FORCEFUL and Exercise STEADFAST DEFENDER 27, contributing to Project HOLMES and the UKRFA Strategic Review, and supports UKRFA engagement with CIOR and CISOR and the tri-Service military skills competition team for
Romania 2026.

In civilian life, WO1 King is a Solution Consultant at Ideagen, a global software company headquartered in Nottingham, specialising in the Ideagen Quality Management System (formerly Q-Pulse) and Healthcare Guardian, providing daily consultancy support to NHS trusts and other clients. He influenced Ideagen to achieve Bronze status under the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme and is driving its progression towards Silver. He is married to Claire, shares his home with a ten-year-old Border Collie, and enjoys hiking when time permits. He serves as a Parish Councillor, was recently appointed President of the Royal British Legion Arnold and District Branch, supports the Boots and Berets Awards in Nottingham, and sits on the South Notts Hussars Executive Committee, remaining committed to mentoring, leadership development, and supporting the wider Service community of soldiers, veterans, families, and cadets.

Capt Loeb began his military career as an adult soldier in 1994. His early service was spent as a Physical Training Instructor and section Sapper, during which he deployed to the Falklands, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Belize, the USA and Canada. He later served as an instructor at the Royal School of Military Engineering, delivering Phase 2 combat engineering training.

 

Following promotion to SNCO, he deployed on operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. His final regular appointment was as a Permanent Staff Instructor, serving as the QMSI C3S at 75 Engineer Regiment (Reserves).

He completed the SSE course in August 2022 and, on successful completion, assumed the role of Regimental Signals Officer at 75 Engineer Regiment. In January 2025 he took up his current post as the 2IC of 202 HQ and Sp Sqn.

After leaving the Regular Army, Capt Loeb became a mathematics teacher at a secondary school in Salford. Alongside his military and teaching commitments, he is a graded Rugby League referee, regularly officiating matches in the National Conference League.
